Revealed: Why the four IEBC officials distanced themselves from the presidential results

Commissioners Cherera, Wanderi, Nyang’aya and Masit wanted presidential race results to be moderated to facilitate a run-off. This is according to a statement released by IEBC chairperson Wafula chebukati on Wednesday 17th August 2022,

IEBC released the statement alleging that the four dissenting commissioners wanted to force a run-off.

After them learning it wasn’t possible for Chebukati to do so, they decided to part ways and distance themselves from the results, the statement reveals
