Another IEBC returning officer officer from Githungu, Geoffrey Gitobu has died.

Another IEBC Returning Officer in Gichugu tallying centre in Kirinyaga dies

He passed away on Monday after mysteriously falling ill and collapsing while at the IEBC Nanyuki’s office.

The official had gone to see his family in Nanyuki over the weekend.

Geoffrey was to get back to Kirinyaga on Monday in preparation to resume work early this week after the elections


The 57-year-old had never complained of any illness and as such a postmortem would be better placed to reveal the death cause.
