
ODM wins big in the concluded Mombasa and Kakamega governorship after their candidates were declared winners
ODM candidate Fernandes Barasa wins Kakamega governorship after garnering 192,929 votes followed distantly by ANC’s Cleophas Malala who managed 159,508 votes
In Mombasa, ODM’s Abdulswamad Nassir was declared Governor-elect after getting 119,083 votes of the total votes cast;
UDA Hassan Sarai came second with 98,105 votes
Though IEBC complained of low voter turnout, the two areas has always been ODM’S priority and the party winning in the top seat was a true definition of the facts,
However UDA even after losing to ODM in, it had given the party a hot wave, it lost with above 40% in the areas, something which is putting a question on the future of ODM in the regions
