Airport handler dies a painful death after her long air got entangled in a conveyer loader belt while offloading bags

Jermani Thompson, 26, was working to offload an inbound aircraft after it landed when her long hair managed to get stuck in the belt loader.

The circumstances surrounding the incident were unclear but her employer confirmed that Thompson was severely injured and subsequently died as a result of the incident.

She always seemed to have a basketball in her hands. She was a great basketball player, and that was her all time hobby.

“She was a basketball guru she loved basketball that was her thing,” her mother said.

The incident happened Tuesday night at Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans.
