Meru University students of Science and Technology took to the streets to demonstrate protesting the University Council’s decision which send away VC Romanus Odhiambo on terminal leave.
VC Odhiambo’s terms was to expire in July but the university took the decision in what they termed underperformed records by the VC
The authority declined to have renewed the period for the VC to serve in the institutions as allegedly thought before
However, students have disgraeed with the decision arguing that VC Odhiambo has been fired by big names for being a foreigner in the area, something they feel isn’t right
