The incident that happened due to heavy rainfall experienced in Belgut sub county Kericho county saw many destruction but the Kipsitet Primary school incident caught the attention of many.
The huge tree fell on a classroom breaking the roof, the broken roof then fell on the pupils who were in class sheltering as the rains hit the roofs.
They were rushed to a nearby health facility for first aid. Two of them sustained more serious injuries and were referred to further medication.
Area MCA Hon Peter Kemoi Diplo visited the school to assess its situation where he communicated with the Office of MP Belgut who have promised to hastily replace the damaged roofing for learners to comfortably continue with their studies on Monday.
No casualties were reported in the incident,however the school management promised to clear mature trees around classrooms to avert such tragedy in future # golden kazz kenya news
