Why kangemi bridge has never been completed

People who are using waiyaki way can relate to the allegations that the kangemi bridge which was under construction in the year 2022 has never resumed with no hopes of any activities to resume 7 months later after the former Government left office, The bridge was started by the jubilee government in it’s plan to complete the roads agenda,

Today, we visited the area that once claimed life’s of workers who were constructing the bridge back in 2022, we were able to talk to residents who lossed hope on the project, we were able to note that kangemi people risk their life by using the incomplete bridge to cross from one side to another, the bridge which is about 50 metres long is very dangerous from the look, sharp metals and open spaces which risks pedestrian from falling down the road is one of the dangers at the place,

Residents reported to us that people have been trapped in the wires at night while trying to cross the road using the bridge, the big question remains why the project stopped after a new government took power, Golden was able to identify that the company in charge jetted out of the country which made the activity to stop,

Kangemi is a small market close to 8 kilometers from Nairobi city, it’s our hope that the new government will have a look and finish the bridge for the busy kangemi people
