More than 400,000 Kenyans have signed up for US artificial intelligence (AI) firm OpenAI’s new cryptocurrency, the company announced on Tuesday.
Worldcoin, which launched last it’s operation on the Kenyan market one week ago, has seen thousands of Kenyans flock to malls and other businesses where registration has taken place.

To register for Worldcoin, you must scan your eyeball through a bullet and receive a digital ID called a World ID.
Golden found out that as of Tuesday, 4000,000 Kenyans had undergone eye scans for crypto adoption.
New members receive their 25 free cryptocurrency tokens, known as WLD, after scanning their eyeballs. The token is currently valued at 7,786 Ksh.
Mwangi, the world coin adviser spoke at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC), where thousands gathered to register for the project on the second day.
On Tuesday, a long line was seen in front of KICC, reaching the city hall.
Following the frenzy, police canceled a registration drill at KICC on Tuesday afternoon for safety reasons.
Officials urged the Worldcoin team to call off the exercise, kick out the crowd, citing safety risks, and look for larger venues .
