Netflix to end its free plan in Kenya.

Netflix will end its free plan effective November 1, 2023 in Kenya.
Netflix notified users about its free plan of email notifications on Tuesday.

“On November 1, 2023, the free plan will no longer be available and your subscription will end. If you want to cancel, no action is required. Your subscription will be automatically canceled when the free plan ends”, the text reads .

If users want to continue using the service, they will need to upgrade to other existing Netflix plans.
“If you want to keep watching, upgrade to one of our paid plans. From just Ksh 200 per month, you can unblock all shows and movies, more features and the ability to watch on your phone, TV or laptop,” Netflix said.

Netflix launced the plan in the country in December 2021, allowing Kenyans to watch ad-free Netflix content comfortably on their smartphones without having to Pay for the service upon registration.
