The government has sent  specialized police units to contain the heightening savagery in Sondu town along Kericho-Kisumu border that has driven to loss of lives and pulverization of property in recent weeks where more than 7 individuals have been murdered with dozen cleared out harmed.
Interior Cs Kithure Kindiki said on Thursday that the security operation will be administered together by the Rift Valley and Nyanza territorial security groups who have been given firm instructions to guarantee prompt resumption of commonality within the area.

The Insides CS too affirmed that the government had resolved to exchange all neighborhood security heads within the zone for their disappointment to contain the situation.
Kindiki added that extra measures to address the circumstance may be announced on Friday after a need of evaluation and survey of the adequacy of the current measures.
The move came hours after four governors from the Luo Nyanza region issued a joint request appealing Interior CS to mediate in Sondu in the midst of reports of inter-ethnic clashes.
The Governors claimed warriors from neighboring Kericho county, who are outfitted with bows, bolts and other unrefined weapons, had so distant killed seven individuals, stolen groups of cattle and wantonly burnt homes to the ground.
