Police officer shots husband 12 times in their home in Eldoret

A female police officer who shot her spouse 12 times at their domestic in Eldoret has been captured and is facing kill charges.

The occurrence happened on Sunday morning, when the officer, who was on night obligation, returned to their house within the Ainabtich region, Kimumu estate, and had an argument with her spouse.

She is affirmed to have used her official AK-47  to shoot her husband, Edwin Kipchumba, in front of their three children.

Uasin Gishu Police Commander Benjamin Mwande and Criminal Investigations Officer (CCIO) Benjamin Muleli affirmed the incident.

Mwande said that the officer reported on night obligation on Sunday and afterward surged back to her house where she had a squabble with her companion.

He added that the couple had been having conjugal issues and that the officer acted out of outrage.

 

The suspect claimed that she acted in self-defence after her spouse attempted to stab her with a knife.

Reports say that when the officers arrived at the scene, they found the perished lying on his bed facing downwards on a pool of blood with  bullet wounds on the chest and head.

The body of the perished was taken to Moi  Referral Hospital in Eldoret for conservation before postmortem is done.
