Police arrest Kenya Defense Force (KDF) soldier accused of killing his 26-year-old wife.
Kennedy Oloo, stationed with the 81st Tank Battalion at Lanet Barracks, Nakuru District, allegedly committed the offense at his residence in Kiamunyeki, Bahati Sub-County.
He was arrested the next day after reporting a suicide at Lanet police station.
The suspect told detectives that she committed suicide by hanging herself in their bedroom after an argument the night before.
But the first investigation showed that the deceased had signs of strangulation, ruling out the possibility of suicide.
The soldier showed a ladder that the deceased allegedly used to climb to the roof, which was about 3 meters high.
However, detectives suspected foul play after finding the body on the floor and the cloth showed no signs of stretching.
According to reports, the couple had an argument after wife Leah Terewa accused her husband of having an affair.
However, a conflict broke out after the man confessed to having a child with another woman.
He also offered to take the two people back to their residence in Kiamunyeki.
The argument turned dangerous after the soldier allegedly strangled his wife during the argument.
