This happened during a promotional show that was being led by Kameme FM presenters and a group of Kikuyu musicians.. The influencers were promoting a certain brand of corn flour..
It all started when Kameme FM radio host, Muthoni Kirumba, invited the area MCA to address the locals.. The crowd turned rebellious and refused to be addressed by the MCA.. They asked to be entertained by maestro Mugithi Waithaka wa Jane, saying they were bored with politics..
This incident caused the radio host to turn the microphone back on and ask the MCA what had gone wrong.. The crowd shouted that the MCA of the area had failed to live up to their expectations by failing to deliver on his election campaign promises..
Muthoni Kirumba went ahead and asked the people if they were satisfied with the way the Ruto government was running the country.. They unanimously replied that both leaders had failed..
The atmosphere became even more riotous when the radio host asked the crowd whether they should say hello to vice president Gachagua.. The locals refused..
The crowd claimed that all of Kenya’s Kwanza leaders, from the MCA to the President, had let them down by failing to deliver on their campaign promises.. They cite the high cost of living as the main reason why they oppose the current regime..
Locals also sent Muthoni Kirumba a message to Kimani Ichung’wa and Ndindi Nyoro, wanting them to know that the ground was not happy.. Githurai is in Kiambu district, where President William Ruto received a high number of votes..
Githurai residents rejoice at the passing of retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.. Knowing that the former head of state celebrated his birthday on May 26, people flocked to sing happy birthday to him..
